Hopfully Brewing have been catching the attention of beer fans in Ireland over the last year with some of the most innovative and interesting beers made since its inception. Founded by Brazilian pals Junior and Cristiano, Hopfully were introduced to beer fans at last summers Big Grill Festival where among others, their beetroot saison went down a storm. We had the pleasure of working alongside Cristiano in our Bunker on some small batch, experimental beers before they opened their own operation. Since then, we’ve been in close contact with them and it was only a matter of time before we worked on a beer together that we could share with you.
So we’re happy out to be finally brewing a beer in their new brewery. We’re all growing up…a little!
For this beer we had (recently graduated) Rowan, Chef Pedro and Ian from the Brewtonic team come to the Hopfully crew with the concept of creating a beer especially for Carnival festivities in Wigwam. We wanted the beer to have a Brazilian connection so that’s where the Guava and Coconut came in to the mix. It made sense that hands to create it would be Brazilian.
The American wheat base lends itself nicely to showcasing the fruits. An ideal accompaniment for the carnival festivities going on from the 9th-14th February. We played around with lemongrass, lime, before settling on the Guava and Coconut.
Get down to Wigwam for the launch of the beer and enjoy all the Brazilian fare on offer over the dates. Check the poster below for what to expect.
