Every week we present a different beer and wing pairing for sampling in The Square Ball. The Fowl Play kitchen comes up with the ideal pairing for each beer and the result is some great flavour combinations all for free. The beer and wings are available all night to purchase after the tasting.
Year three of the urban growing project will be the biggest yet. With the target of 100 extra plants grown across the city and beyond, we should have a great harvest and celebration come September.
June 2nd will mark the date when growers trim back the shoots of their plants to leave just the two strongest. Growers are encouraged to bring the shoots (which are a delicacy known as poor man’s asparagus) down to this meetup.
Rumbullion is 3 day mini-festival to celebrate all things rum, brought to you by the friendly folk at Brewtonic, taking place at Wigwam over the summer of 2018 , dates TBC very soon…. The last few years this has been an absolute blast and we’re gonna do it bigger and better this year. Rumbullion will feature rum tastings, rum demos, rum comps, rum workshops, rum pop-up markets, rum classes, rum cocktail bars, rum food pairings, bands and DJs drinking rum, and did we mention rum?

Returning to the ever popular Big Grill festival, Brewtonic will be one of 25 craft breweries on show this year. We expect to have a wheat ale, Session IPA and InCahoots Elderflower Sour 2.0 ready!

Every Thursday in The Back Page & The Square Ball we’ll be sharing some of our latest experimental batches and doing first tastings of our big release brews. We’ll also be mixing it up with other beer from our favourite or newly found breweries.
Celebrating the versatile crop that is hemp and it’s family, we’ll be offering our very own Hemp Ale Four20 at €4.20 in all of our bars for the day on the 20th of April. Brewed using crushed hemp seeds in the mashing process, the hemp adds a nutty, spiced flavour to what is a pale ale recipe.
The inaugural year will host wine and cheese vendors across Eatyard and The Bernard Shaw. Green Man Wines, Station to Station, Ploughman’s Daughter and The Cheese Press will be joined by more of the leading lights in Irish wine and cheese.

Our first love, and what brought us together long before Brewtonic was established, is music. This Friday we’ll be jumping back behind the decks in The Bernard Shaw to roll back the years and will be offering some deals on our booze and merch on the bar. We’ll be teaming up with Jameson Caskmates to launch their new IPA barrel aged edition. We’ll be dishing up our stalwarts Relax The Cacks Session IPA along with Four20 Hemp Ale in the form of pints and boilermakers. Drop in, it’ll be on for a month thereafter.
