We’re delighted to see the movement towards low / no alcohol wines is making waves both at home and in bars & restaurants. How many times have you tried a low / no alcohol wine for whatever reason, and for the taste to be totally disappointing? Too often, I’d say.
But now, producers are making low alcohol wine more available, and more delicious! Gone is the need to drink spritzers or other watered down versions of your favourite wine. O’Briens off licenses, Marks & Spencers and other retails around the country (and online) now stock a variety of wines ranging from 0% to a modest 9.5%. So if you fancied having more than glass, the risk of a sore head the following morning will be a thing of the past. We think the shift towards lower alcohol drinks in general not only will promote sensible drinking, but will also encourage a healthier lifestyle and shift in attitude towards alcohol as a whole.
The Irish Times had a great article recently, check it out here.
