With the Autumn well and truly setting in, we’re looking forward to cosy evenings with some tipples and tastings from around the city. October is jam packed with events to suit everyone, from cocktails and cheese tastings to a very special dinner hosted in the Fumbally at the end of the month. Check out what’s on:

Irish Cocktail Party – Saturday 13th October, Dublin Bar Academy, Dublin 7
October is Irish Cocktail Month and to celebrate Dublin Bar Academy will be hosting their own Irish Cocktail Party, for 20 blips you can taste four different cocktails. And to further the experience, there is a private tasting room where you can learn about the spirit that’s in the glass like Jameson and Dingle Gin.
Mistress of Malt – Thursday 18th October, L. Mulligan, Dublin 2
Helen Mulholland is a Master Blender and works with The Old Bushmills Distillery, She’s is responsible for blending some of the world’s most renowned whiskeys and will be sharing her knowledge on stage with Seaneen Sullivan of L. Mulligan Grocers and Whiskey Shop. The event is open to whiskey appreciators of all levels and is sure to be a great evening.
The Sunless Garden – Concept Pop Up Restaurant – Sunday 21st October, Hen’s Teeth, Dublin 2
A 12 course tasting menu prepared by Richard Lewis and Jamie Allan set in a themed space called The Sunless Garden which depicts the relationship of a couple from when they first meet. The venue will blend music and visuals with the food to create an effective, emotional ambience which they’re hoping the diner will sense from beginning to end.
Whiskey & Cheese Tasting Series – Thursday 25th October, Drop Dead Twice, Dublin 8
What could be better than an evening of whiskey and cheese. Head along to Drop Dead Twice where your host Peadar MacEiteagain will guide you through this glorious pairing, sampling 6 whiskies and their complementary cheeses.
The Dinner @ Fumbally – Sunday 28th October, Fumbally, Dublin 8
An all star line up is gathering at The Fumbally at the end of the month to host The Dinner. Jess Murphy, Carmel Somers and Rose Greene will serve up a 6 course menu and there will be accompanying wines available to buy on the night too. This is the 2nd night added to the event, the first one on the Saturday evening sold out in no time and it’s likely this one will go pretty quickly too.
